Dreigit - Asteroids for the iPhone

Dreigit (Irish for Meteor) is the first iPhone creation from the wonderfully named CraicDesign team (as in any Craic?).  John Kennedy's Asteroids-on-acid clone is one of the cheapest quality games we've seen yet on the iTunes apps store - amazing value at just £0.59 / $0.99.  Read on for all the details and a video...

Old timers will be familiar with the scenario.  You're required to blast the large slow rocks, into smaller faster ones, ensuring you don't wipe-out your ship by hitting any of them.  When you've cleared the debris you progress to the next level.  Various alien UFOs keep it interesting providing an extra challenge and power-ups

The on-screen touch controls spin you right or left and along with the thrust and Hyperspace buttons you can avoid contact with the Meteors.

If we'd one slight complaint it would be that we like to see the area with the touch controls kept clear of all play.  But that's nit-picking.   Dreigit is a game that you can drop into quickly when you want, yet enjoy for long periods when you have the time too.  And at the price it's an absolute steal.
